§ 2-170. Appointment.

The director of public works, shall be appointed by the city council. Such appointment shall be viva voce, and a concurrence of a majority of the whole number of elected members of the council shall be required. The responsibilities, duties, and salary of the director of public works shall be as established by the mayor and city council from time to time.
